Just because Joe Schmoe uses such and such and is a famous darter doesn't mean that that is the only configuration that will bring home the money. I was warming up with the pears and I "felt" that they were not going to do it Thursday plus I needed a buffer zone since we were up against the #1 team. It's up to you if you want the flights, no charge. Think it as a gift for a job done well.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8402224.post-1134962828102443312005-12-18T19:27:00.000-08:002005-12-18T19:27:00.000-08:00hey kdog, sorry to hear about the loss. if you'd a...hey kdog, sorry to hear about the loss. if you'd a hit that 146 out though you probably would never switch away from the pears, huh? you came close so that's pretty cool. I'll email you about the flights.Zeeplehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17217303030920572083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8402224.post-1134960188543708932005-12-18T18:43:00.000-08:002005-12-18T18:43:00.000-08:00Well we lost 6-3. The thing is I therw good with them, I missed a 146 out by the wire leaving my partern with 16. We choked we ended up with 4 out. The site that care the "FT" flights are selling them a 24.95 for 1 dozen(non- member).I'm willing to part with a set if you want them email me your address and I'll send to you. If you want to give them a shoot.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8402224.post-1134675975894998482005-12-15T11:46:00.000-08:002005-12-15T11:46:00.000-08:00Well I am certainly anxious to hear the results of...Well I am certainly anxious to hear the results of tonights match! I have seen the flights you are talking about and I have been tempted to get some since they are slightly smaller than a standard and more inline with a pear shaped flight surface area wise.Zeeplehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17217303030920572083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8402224.post-1134675485653634342005-12-15T11:38:00.000-08:002005-12-15T11:38:00.000-08:00They are from DartSmarts.com. They are called "FT" Performance flights, basiclly they are standard flight with the rounded edges cut off making them almost like a diamond shape. Tonight my team shots against the number one team, I think I'm going to try the power points (26 gr) with pear flights and short Maestro2 shafts. This may be the night that I make up my mind about Jeff Pickup darts? Update to follow.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8402224.post-1134564967447112882005-12-14T04:56:00.000-08:002005-12-14T04:56:00.000-08:00Fire water is always a factor in barroom sports! ...Fire water is always a factor in barroom sports! The shafts were Maestro2 shorts, with the power points. Out of all 3 the pears were the better of the test subjects. I averaged 6.5 with one set, and 7.5 with the other two, pratice cricket, trying to see how many darts it took to close and points. I know the averages are not great, but the fire water was a factor.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8402224.post-1134392306970495422005-12-12T04:58:00.000-08:002005-12-12T04:58:00.000-08:00That sounds like a cool set up. I could never find a comfortable set up for my Power Points either. I don't throw them anymore so I don't worry about it.Zeeplehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17217303030920572083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8402224.post-1134172043030091632005-12-09T15:47:00.000-08:002005-12-09T15:47:00.000-08:00The funny thing is I have a set of 26 Unicorn's th...The funny thing is I have a set of 26 Unicorn's that go pretty much were you "aim" and the 26 Power Points I still haven't found a "comfortable" set up. I think I'm going to try your set up; INB Nylon shafts and Dimple Pear flights(the only type I have right now). I'll keep you posted on outcome.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8402224.post-1134159484728671242005-12-09T12:18:00.000-08:002005-12-09T12:18:00.000-08:00Interesting. For the heavier darts you really have to lob them with a decent arc.Zeeplehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17217303030920572083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8402224.post-1134142787629658472005-12-09T07:39:00.000-08:002005-12-09T07:39:00.000-08:00The GT3s are 25 grams with medium non spinning sha...The GT3s are 25 grams with medium non spinning shafts and slim flights. By the bottom falling out, I mean the dart path is dead on, then at the last second the dart just drops below "aiming point" just like a sinker in baseball.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8402224.post-1134133336839920992005-12-09T05:02:00.000-08:002005-12-09T05:02:00.000-08:00JB: Thanks, I've got lots o' little containers lik...JB: Thanks, I've got lots o' little containers like this that I have used over the years. I think these were called ice-breakers but I removed the lable so I am not sure. And don't sweat losing. My team this last season only won one match. All our losses were pretty one sided too. Just have fun. Maybe next season you'll do better.

kdog: bummer to hit that low ton in worm-up but not much in match, but well done none the less. When you say the gt3s were "dropping" maybe they are too heavy? What weight are they? Send me a pic one of these days.Zeeplehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17217303030920572083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8402224.post-1134125195034159502005-12-09T02:46:00.000-08:002005-12-09T02:46:00.000-08:00I like that idea, since the plastic cases I use se...I like that idea, since the plastic cases I use seem to alwats open and I have to tape them closed. I'm going to give it a shoot.
Add note the team I shot for lost last night. During warm-up I shot a ton 35 during the match my highest was 66, and that was 501, and in the cricket 4getit I coudn't find a trip if it was the size of a barn door. For some reason the GT3s were dropping.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
