I have in the past several months come to appreciate a lighter dart. In fact I have a set of 16 gram darts that I use almost every week at league and every time I pickup this lone dart I keep thinking boy, it sure would be nice to have a couple more like it. Anyway.. a poster over at Sewadarts had asked me about it so I wanted to blog it for his benefit. I took another pic of it by a metric ruler too, so he could see it is NOT, unfortunately for him, exactly 44 mm long. but rather a healthy 51 or 52.

Those are very generous points. Mine are a little over an inch, but those are 1.4 inches. I'd probably be OK with them, but I can't use darts with less than an inch due to the way I hold them.
They are generous. They are long and thick at the base with a more salient taper than most points I think. How do you hold your darts that requires at least an inch??
From the little finger (unused) inwards it is : Ring finger on the very point of the dart, next finger straddling where the point meets the barrel, index finger and thunb forming a grip on the barrel. I'll try and blog a picture.
I can picture it. Sounds like an interesting grip.
