Here is something I have been doing lately during practice. I found a key ring that is almost the diameter of the bull and I suspended it over the T20 using a pin and a length of thread. If you zoom in on the picture you can make out both the pin and the thread. I think this is helping me with T20 practice but I am not sure yet. The idea is that when throwing at the bull I reasonably expect to hit it. I have a lot of confidence and decent grouping when I am doing bull practice, but my T20 throwing suffers quite a bit. So I decided to try to simulate the bull throwing mentality a bit for the T20. The picture below is an actual practice round. A good one for me. The third dart was so far off though, that it could not be included in the picture. Now when I practice T20's, I go for the ring and ignore the actual triple.

Neat idea.

In the past I have tried covering the board with a piece of cardboard with only the triple twenty cut out of the
cardboard. I didn't use it long enough to see if it made
for good practice but the punctures quicky showed a bow tie shape with the knot at the T20.

Wow, another neat idea. I suppose you could do the same thing with aluminum foil quite quickly and have a good scatterplot of your dart arrivals. This might make a good analysis tool. Thanks for the tip!

A great idea, I have tried lots of ways to try and group better these range from fixing and old flight to the board and aim at that and also someone mentioned to me about putting a non-safety match into the board and trying to strike it with the barrel of the dart.
I must say that the match helped alot and after half an hour i was consistantly putting 2 darts in every bed i had a match in. didnt get 1 to light though... i think my barrells are to smooth!

I use my five year old daughters toy ring to do this, it's about a third of the size of the triple bed. So far I've only ever put all 3 darts through it once, but it's amazing how often you miss the ring but hit the T20.
Aim small, Miss small.
